Is it normal to feel like i do

Okay so I am a 25yo Gay man been seeing this 26yo gay man. We have had our problems but after a breakup in may continue to work on things. He left for a vacation we planned together this week and promising me he would stay in contact while he was gone i haven't heard anything. I'm so hurt and crushed idk what to think I can't believe he went and lied about staying in contact am I wrong.
