Is it normal to feel like crap everyday?

Is it normal to wake up everyday feeling like you would rather die than go out to school ,work , parties or even to see friends or go grocery shopping. To think that no body even likes you in this world. No matter if you move the same keeps happening over and over .

  • Dont listen to the stupid self help advice, we are all in the same boat together, and one day we will all be dead.

If you dont want to wait around for it to happen, which it eventually will, then take measures to make it happen.

I really dont understand the motivation people like street bums or people dying from leukemia, or people in third world countries who shit in holes they dig in their backyard have to keep living. Dont their lives completely suck?

I hate people who hate negative people, embrace being negative. Deep down we are all negative anyway, and life will eventually break each of us one day.

Your post scares me that you are suggesting suicide to this depressed person - so I hope you're not!!

This depression will pass and life will change for the OP!

Just give it time and keep getting out there and meeting new people and trying new things.

      • I didnt say suicide at all, but suicide is a choice each person has the RIGHT to decide to do if they so choose it. I dont care what government or ethics say about it. If I decide on suicide nobody, and I mean NOBODY, has any right to tell me otherwise. Its my life and nobody else's.

I am in perfect health as of this moment, but in 20 yrs I may not be. I think its very reasonable to consider an end with some dignity still left instead of just sitting idly by as cancer or alzheimer's would rob me of not just my life but my self respect and dignity as well.

        No thanks.

I agree with you but the OP is only young as they talk about school. They probably have hormones and the usual teenage angst so it is NOT appropriate for you to say 'take measures to make it happen'.

Fair enough if they were old or in great physical pain.

You say that nobody has the right to say you shouldn't commit suicide but what gives you the right to suggest to a kid in perfect health, with a few minor problems that we all face death at some time and they should take measures.

All I'm saying is just be careful with these kids' lives!!

          Please!!

          • If they make the decision to do something like that, I am blameless in it. Suggesting something is just that, "suggesting" it.

All I did was tell the truth, its up to each person to accept what life really is.

This is not normal at all. You sound like a deeply troubled and unhappy person. Your life has more value then just wasting it away and being consumed by unhappiness. You have a greater purpose and you deserve better then this. You must put forth the effort on your part to make a change.

I recommend seeing a psychologist/psychiatrist. If a one-on-one approach makes you feel uncomfortable then I suggest joining a support group as an alternative. With a support group there are other people you can relate to and you'll feel less awkward. Don't feel embarrassed to get help. There are lots of people who seek guidance and it takes a strong person to admit when they have a problem.

Don't delay and procrastinate. Take initiative and strive for better.

You sound like you're suffering from depression. I should know. I have re-curring depression; am dealing with it for the 3rd time now. When you feel lost, have no desires, never want to get out of bed or be around people or interact in general. Never want to do anything any other outgoing, happy person does. It's such a dull feeling, but it weighs us down like nothing else. You should practice some relaxation or meditation techniques - the calming effect sometimes brings out more joy in a person. You could also talk to a doctor or see a therapist/psychiatrist. That's totally up to you. I never did well with a therapist (they made things worse), and don't like doctors, but... sometimes talking really does help, and instead of just listening, they can help. Try anti-depressants. It's not the end of the world, even if you want it to be. <33

you can feel like you want to die without actually wanting kill yourself..If i were a person considering suicide i would have been SOL after that first post. U r not right for saying that but its your opinion.. I have tried to get help but i feel like no one seems to really give a Sh*t or get what i am really going thru even the therapists just try to throw me in one of there categories and give me drugs.(sorry no prozac for me). I really want to get this feeling gone so thanks for all who say it will pass and i will try Positive thinking though it feels like i am lying to myself so easier said than done.

Ha I sometimes feel like this. Feeling like it all the time suggests you have some sort of depression or social anxiety issues you would benefit from sorting out.
