Is it normal to feel jealous if your boyfriend visits his old school?

My boyfriend promised to visit me in school today, but he called and said that he can't show up because he is at his old school...The thing is, his ex still studies there...And I have been freaking out since this afternoon. I wasn't bitchy about it though, I let him be..Is it normal that I feel this way or am I too clingy?
