Is it normal to feel invisible water?

I'm not entirely sure when this came about (it's been many years), but I've felt there is always a layer of invisible water around us. Its depth gradually changes throughout the day, much like high and low tides. It's just as breathable as air.

I find out how deep it is by raising my hand as high as possible, then slowly lowering it until I feel it reach the water. If I never feel that point, then the water must be deeper than I can reach.

    Humidity maybe?

Anyway, WHAT in the world have you been smoking? Care to share?

Humidity doesn't matter, and no, you can't have any. ;)

I get it on and off. Usually with depersonalisation. I think it's normal and quite relaxing:)

Not normal but it sure sounds awesome! I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

Are you sure you're not high? If not, you must have a very vivid imagination.

I have experienced the same thing .. that usually occurs before an out of body experience occurs or you are getting ready to slip into another personality - I experienced severe stress as a child and that happened to me, It doesnt happen now beause my life is peaceful .. but that is the beginning of those two situations.. Do you meditate ?

If you consider self-hypnosis to be the same as meditation, then I meditate quite a bit. As for an out-of-body experience, that's a story by itself. Check "Is it Normal to Enter a Transcendental Trance?" if you want to know. It should be up soon.

Maybe you're sensitive to changes in air pressure throughout the day?
If it feels like water to you, surely it would slow you down?

It's not nearly as thick as normal water, yet still slightly thicker than air. So yes, I suppose it does, but not significantly.

This is your space bubble. Don't let people in it!

No, I don't think it's normal, but it sounds interesting.

I worked at a large YMCA years ago. I would find out the times when the pool was the slowest and go and just float on my back for as long as I could. It was awesome!

  • Weird. Reminds me of Donnie Darko a little bit, those weird shapes he saw coming out of people.

I've never heard of him. Can you explain some things about him?

      • He's not a real person, it's a famous cult movie from 2001, I think. You should see it, it's pretty amazing. It's very surreal though and you probably won't understand much on the first watch, I sure didn't.

When I stay in a pool or a beach for a long amount of time this happens to me. In my opinion, it's very relaxing. I like it. So it's normal.
