Is it normal to feel i can't close my mouth properly?

Whenever I close my mouth it feels like my jaw is not aligned. I don't have pain it just feels awkward, especially when I eat. My lower jaw seems like it got pushed back from its normal spot.
Nothing wrong with my teeth, no braces, my wisdom teeth are out.

Anyone know? Or feel the same?

Oddly enough, I have the same problem. But if I smile fully, like, with my teeth, they seem in order. I'm not usually bothered by this though.

It sounds like you have TMJ. I've had TMJ since last Thanksgiving. I've been doing the excersises on and off which helped at first but I fear that my inconsistency has caused a problem... It's gotten to the point where I've realized that eventually I might need surgery to fix it. O_0

  • That is a difficult thing to vote on. I know it is normal for me but it shouldn't be. If you were beaten up or fell and hit it that would be sad not normal. I hope you don't have a dislocated jaw :(

You might be getting lock jaw. I got this after I had to get some dental work done. I would ask the dentist to check it out.

Look up TMJ and see if you have those symptoms because that sounds like what you're describing.
