Is it normal to feel guilty about not watering plants ?

Is it normal to have plants (that have been there for a long time)on your desk that your sibling gave to you but you forget to water them , you NEVER watered them , even though they were on your desk in the office the WHOLE TIME , and then yesterday they dwelt and died , and you felt guilty ?

I do because I feel like plants have feelings. They are living beings so surely they must suffer when you forget to water them. When I finally do remember, I'll sometimes go overboard on watering them :o

Yeah, I came back home after a couple of months and nobody had watered the plant in my room. I felt bad for neglecting it.

I feel so bad when I do this. I know it's only a plant, but I still feel really bad about killing it.

I would feel the guilt too, something died sooner rather than later..
