Is it normal to feel empty?

No story. Just.. you know? Never feeling much inside. Words never piercing you with that internal pain called "feelings" many people call it? Experiencing a pain which cannot be healed by medicine. Sure anxiety and fear are still present but the actions of people around you do not really bother you so much. Is it normal?

Yup, that's the definition of my life. let me guess, you hide behind a smile and force yourself to get up every day? you feel okay at times when you're with people you can relate to, but when you're alone in silence the crushing pain inside of you comes back. i'm there, i've been there a long time

You guys should read up on philosophy and religion (all of them not just one) to get a perspective of other people have dealt with this problem historically. That's what philosophy and religion are...the answers people have come up for this feeling

    Depression can look like apathy.
And some people simply aren't easily triggered emotionally.
But none at all means it's time to find a shrink.
