Is it normal to feel down/depressed at certain times of year?

I always feel down when the days start getting longer and the weather starts to get warmer. I also feel down when winter is near and the weather starts to get colder. I have no motivation, I think about death/dying, I feel empty and generally feel an overwhelming sense of dread.
Having said this, I feel alright during the summer and winter; I only feel different when the weather is changing.
Is this normal?!

I think they call it seasonal depression or seasonal affective disorder.

Yes, it is normal many people suffering with depression can either have just depression, manic depression or seasional disorder (which i feeling gloomier in certain seasons like fall or winter) but, i have it you can help feeling like that by taking vitamin D pills if there is not much sun outdoors

For me things like that aren't seasonal

I'm a grumpy bastard in summer though, I'm not a fan of the heat, I like spring though, you get the smell of freshly cut grass, the brilliant spring air
It evens out though, I'm happy when everyone else is grumpy in the winter, I love the feeling of getting in from the rain and cold and making a hot chocolate/coffee.
