Is it normal to feel doubts about your friendship?

I have few friends to begin with, and even at times (that are getting increasingly frequent), I feel that my friendship with others are superficial, and that I'm nothing more than something they can use (like for money, or just to kill time). I'm just asking if others ever had doubts like these, or that I'm just a paranoid being to begin with.

Kind of but not in the same way.

For example if I arrange to meet a friend somewhere and they're late, all through that time I'm thinking "Am I at the right place? Is this the time I said" *checks phone for the 10th time*
"Why are they doing this, they are always late. They don't care about me if they are always late! It always annoys me, Now I look like an idiot standing here waiting ages for someone! They don't even ring to say they are late. WHEN THEY COME I'M GONNA GET MAD. THEY CANT DO THIS!"

When they finally get here 20 mins later: "Hey sorry I'm late, things kinda overran"

Me: "No problem, that's okay. You were late? I didn't even notice"

I feel this way about some of my friends. Especially when they wonder why I didn't join them in thier little adventure and I have to remind them that they forgot to tell me about it.
