Is it normal to feel depressed when..

Is it normal to feel kinda depressed when you find out a sibling is transgendered? It just feels like I don't want to lose them as that gender, even though I know they won't change, but it still makes me feel sad and almost depressed.. Is this normal?

Of course it is you would have known your sibling as that gender all your life but now you learnt there was a big part of them that they kept hidden and now they are transitioning. Being trans myself, my family felt the same and my boyfriend felt like he lost the man he fell in love with.

But with time, they and I assume you will learn that you sibling on the inside is really the same person. The only changes are the clothes they wear, how they look and their pronouns.

Yes, it's normal. I remember that, after some resistance, Daniel Meade accepted Alexis just fine and they went on to co-edit Mode Magazine as brother and transister.
