Is it normal to feel depressed after exercise?

Everyone tells me that exercise can help depression but it makes me feel worse. Just wondering if this is normal. Thanks.

It's normal when it comes to depression. When I'm sad excersize picks me up but if I am depressed it doesn't help. I'm not sure anything does really

Understandable. PapaGee sounds like the boss on this topic.

Exercise releases endorphins( NOT serotonin) and most people do feel good temporarily, but like PapaGee said, if you are truely depressed exercise won't help much...

after exercise you probably feel very weak afterwards. but i think you might be confusing THAT with depression. remember feeling tired and feeling depress is two different things. just keep eating healthy is my advise :)

It is meant to release serotonin in the brain which causes us to feel happy not sad or depressed. Maybe see a doctor if it gets bad or is worrying you
