Is it normal to feel delayed weakness after general anesthesia?

I had outpatient surgery 48 hours ago. I was under general anesthesia for only 1/2 hour. Came out of it fine, with no side affects at all. Was told to go home and go to bed early and get some rest. Couldn't fall asleep until 5:30 am and only slept until 8:15. Felt okay yesterday so I went to a park and just sat and then went to a friends house for dinner. Got really tired coming home but knew it was because of little sleep the night before. Slept about 7 hours last night but woke up feeling very wasted and weak. I feel like my eyes and body are swollen but they aren't. I just feel very weak. Is it normal to feel fine the day after and then feel the affects on day 2?

It seems like your lack of sleep has a good deal to do with this. Symptoms of anything can come and go, wouldn't be surprising here. You should give your doctor a call with any questions.
