Is it normal to feel bugs crawling under my skin?

Every night around the same time I get this sensation in both my legs that feels like jolts of electricity going up and down my bones, and the feeling of a million little bugs crawling under my skin. Also, my legs visibly shake when this goes on for a few minutes without getting up to walk. Is this something I should tell my doctor about?

What you are getting is known as a spasm. This sometimes happens when your muscles are overworked or and nerve problems. I use to get this a lot too.

I've been advised to drink more water, apparently I'm just dehydrated. I've been told there's absolutely no possible way that I have RLS, it's just lack of water, so now I have to drink half a gallon of water every day, which raises a new issue.

    Might be Restless Leg Syndrome.
