I don't like to be around anybody that's crying. It makes me very uncomfortable. It's not that I don't care that they're hurting, it's just that I don't know what to do or say, anything I do do or say I feel so insincere because it's not natural to me and I feel like I'm coming across as uncaring or fake so my instinct is to not want anything to do with the situation. I'm more of an action/solution person...I'll gladly help you fix your problem but I can't console you.
Double standards.
It breaks my heart to see strangers cry, because if they're crying in front of people just openly without asking for help or begging for anything, you know something is deeply wrong. At least with family or friends, I can solve their problems if possible, because I know them; but strangers are unknown.
I don't think it's normal or not normal. It just means you don't emphasize with me, or have some sorta stereotypes

I've read that it is healthy for your heart to cry, and that one of the reasons that men have more heart trouble than women is because they rarely cry. There's nothing wrong with a man crying, but I advise them to not do it in public, just because some people, the narrow minded types, will get all weirded out by it. But there's nothing wrong with a man crying in front of anyone who cares about him and isn't going to be judgemental, which anyone who truly cares won't be.
