Whenever I see an older person alone (restaurant, movie, etc) I automatically check to see if they are wearing a wedding ring, and if they aren't I feel really bad for them...almost like I want to cry for them being alone!
I totally feel the same way! I have to stop myself from sitting with them or paying for their meal because I'm afraid they'll be offended.
I thought you were talking about lonely people in general. Well if that elderly person isn't wearing a ring he/she probably forgot to put it on or lost it.Simple as that.Doesn't mean he/she is lonely just cus they dont have on their wedding ring
Wow It's normal. Think the same thing. But I think it's weird to cry over it.
It just means you care about other people which by today's standard isn't normal at all.
I'm going to die alone if I make it to old age, (unmarried, pushing 40, not rich and I only like younger women) but don't feel sorry for me; I'll be living the only way I can. Maybe old people who are alone, aren't always lonely (if they were, there's lots of other lonesome oldies to hang out with, right?)
aw you have a heart. I feel the same way. But you know just because someone is alone doesn't mean they are lonely! My grandmother used to say that to me all the time:)
I feel the same. I also check for the wedding band and stuff too. It's sad!!
