Is it normal to feel bad after telling someone how you feel?

My boyfriend and I are in marching band. Yesterday was the last day of band camp, where we were out in the 95+ degree weather for seven hours.

It was for two and a half weeks, and since day two of it he has been sick, because he has been stupid and not been drinking water or eating anything all day.

I've been taking care of him, even when I'm sick from the heat. He got so bad where he would just pass out anywhere, and the stress of worrying and taking care of him has made me sicker.

On the laat day of camp, I finally cracked after he was a complete asshole I told him that I'm tired of worrying and taking care of him when he doesn't even try to help himself, so it's an endless cycle of me close to tears and him not doing anything.

  • This one time, at band camp... xD

In all seriousness, normal reaction. It's frustrating trying to help someone who doesn't even try to help themselves. You shouldn't feel bad for how you feel, he should feel bad for making you feel this way!

He should drink more water!!... He is not a damn baby! Nor is it rocket science!! Don't feel bad my friend. Next time communicate more clearly and calmly earlier on if you can.. Easier to say than do though. It is great that you spoke up. You can always say sorry for being so angry. Just don't apologise for why you were angry.. IMHO

Yeah… I can relate to him… I get sick and I don't do it on purpose… I just get so caught up in the work and/moment and don't even think to eat or drink until I get a headache or worse.
