Is it normal to feel ashamed of my leg hair

I'm a guy, and I've got hairy legs, and the hair is dark, and my legs aren't all that tanned. It's getting hot and most of my buds are in shorts all the time. They ask me why I'm in pants, and I tell them I'm fine, but I'm really not, I'm hot. So, if I do wear shorts, I'm afraid someone is going to say, dam you have hairy legs. My buds have leg hair, but I've got way more. Should I just start wearing shorts and ignore the comments?

    Dudes are less likely to be bashed on for having hairy legs, so go wear your shorts.
    Also, if the hair bothers you so much just shave or Nair it off.

    It's totally normal, but leg hair is nothing to be ashamed of, you're a guy! You can have as much leg hair as you want! It doesn't matter to girls, because men are suppose to be hairy, and your friends shouldn't care. Trust me there are people out there with more leg hair then you!

    Not really normal if you're a guy but, hey, if it bothers you then just shave or trim it. Only takes a few minutes out of your day to do.

    Okay, it depends on exactly how hairy. If you're just a little hairy then I guess it's okay. But a lot I would suggest a slight shave.

    I completely understand, all of them men in my family, including me have gotten a lot of comments on our body hair, it's normal to be worried about it. I used to trim all of the hair on my body. But that became too much work and decided who ever wanted to make rude comments could go to hell.

    I have light skin and used to have lower legs like a tarantula, but I had some laser done and it was totally worth it. Yes, it was painful, but I was told it's no worse than getting a tattoo and yes, still so worth it.
