Yes, it's normal. I also feel the same way about when people abuse drugs. I don't get why they do it. They do it for "fun", or to "escape their issues". First of all, it's sad that someone would have to do drugs in order to have fun. Second of all, it's sad when people have to do drugs to at least get away from their problems. Lots of them will do it for some kind of attention.

I completely agree with u! I am an ex abuser and I now don't understand why I put my self and my loved ones through that. It still annoys me to see ppl doing it still. I feel helpless for them because they don't understand the flaw of the actions they commit. But sometimes dependence is a way of avoiding reality, and if their reality is not worth living then drugs are a way out! So instead if being mad try to find out why they are where they Are. Xx

Hate is such a strong word. Leaving a dirty needle where a kid can find it is wrong and disgusting no matter who used it. It could have been for insulin. Would you hate that person for the drug use or for being irresponsible?

I was very angry for a long time once about drug users. My kid was in preschool. A teacher found a dirty needle on the ground. He was holding it when my kid came up to talk, he turned around and stuck her with it. Police were called, tested her for aids ( this was in 1988). Druggies leaving their filthy stuff on preschool grounds is criminal.
Sometimes I still get mad about that situation. Now I just think, if you are gonna do it. Do it. Just don't involve me. And I was no angel when I was a teen.

I'm the same. I try to be understanding, but it usually just makes me mad. I get especially mad when people do it like jhonen said to 'escape their issues' because I tend to see it as a sign of weakness when they do that instead of actually dealing with problems.

this post is so funny. Im guessing you have never tried any drugs. I had the same view once, that drugs were for weak people, you didn't need them to have fun blah blah. Drugs are the shit just don't get addicted, simple.

I don't know anything about you, but I'm assuming that you've never done drugs...usually people don't understand drug use because they've never experienced it. I know drugs are illegal and everything, but I think everyone should try shrooms at some point. They are natural and they will expand your realms of thinking. I feel like everyone would be smarter and more open minded if they all tried shrooms. That's the key though...keeping an open mind and not writing things off for no reason.

not normal. you are misinformed. pro tip: EVERYONE USES DRUGS AND EVERYONE NEEDS DRUGS TO FEEL HAPPY. drugs are a natural part of your brain, it's just that when they're inside your body they are called "neurotransmitters" and "hormones". you cannot operate without them. you cannot feel happy without the necessarily neurotransmitter (drug) facilitated reaction in your brain.

when people "take" drugs, all they are doing is manipulating their endogenous (in body) drugs, just like eating something that tastes nice, doing something fun, having sex or picking your nose.

so enjoy being mad at yourself for something so inescapably normal, you would die if you didn't do it.

I think there's different levels of severity. Weed is really pretty harmless....perfectly respectable member of society use it. It's just like alcohol....safe if consumed responsibly. Something like heroin however is just wrong.

No, it isn't. I think sometimes you drinks alcohol a bit. So you have to know that alcohol is a drug like all illegal drugs. You don't know nothing about drugs but you are making any conclusions. Something's wrong, don't you think so?
