Is it normal to feel angry when told happy holidays?

I'm an atheist so the religion in all this isn't the problem. It's the being polite about it. I see christmas as a family day.When If I tell a friend happy chrismas I get told down with people saying its happy holidays. I mean it should never matter to anyone who is a specific religion to care if they say merry christmas to a christian or happy hanukkah to a jewish person. Instead they go "Merry christmas oops I mean happy holidays".

    Doesn't make me angry but is tiring having someone tell you "Happy this, happy that!" everywhere you go.

      It's not the angry where you want to rage because of it. It's more the light anger squint eyes kinda thing, if you know what I mean.

    I agree. It's just a way of wishing you good will. I don't think anyone should get offended by political correctness.

    I hate it when people say it because I know I won't have a 'happy' holiday simply because I hate my family. LOL. Also, it won't be a 'merry' Christmas because everyone is always freaking out, trying to be perfect. Honestly folks, I just want to stay home and sleep.
