Is it normal to feel angry when told happy holidays?

I'm an atheist so the religion in all this isn't the problem. It's the being polite about it. I see christmas as a family day. When If I tell a friend happy chrismas I get told down with people saying its happy holidays. I mean it should never matter to anyone who is a specific religion to care if they say merry christmas to a christian or happy hanukkah to a jewish person. Instead they go "Merry christmas oops I mean happy holidays".

Doesn't make me angry but is tiring having someone tell you "Happy this, happy that!" everywhere you go.

    • It's not the angry where you want to rage because of it. It's more the light anger squint eyes kinda thing, if you know what I mean.

I agree. It's just a way of wishing you good will. I don't think anyone should get offended by political correctness.

I hate it when people say it because I know I won't have a 'happy' holiday simply because I hate my family. LOL. Also, it won't be a 'merry' Christmas because everyone is always freaking out, trying to be perfect. Honestly folks, I just want to stay home and sleep.
