Is it normal to feel an odd swooping sensation when aroused?

I am wondering if it's normal to feel a "swooping" sensation, similar to when you go down a rollercoaster, when you are aroused. The feeling spreads from my stomach outwards quickly. For reference, I am a female.
I don't mean in response to sexual touch, just the beginning stages of "oh, am I horny now? Ok"

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

One of the most normal posts ever I reckon. I have a dick and when aroused this is definently part pf the sensation I feel. Isn't it great?

Trying to describe what sexual arousal feels like is extremely difficult, particularly since the sensations vary between people and the explanation usually comes down to using an analogy that's never exact. In the end, you experience sexual arousal as you experience sexual arousal. About the only thing that can be said for certain is that it's good you recognise it for what it is. Unfortunately, many women have problems identifying what it is that they're feeling.

Having said that, I'm sure that a lot of people - both men and women - would be able to relate to what you describe. Breathlessness, heart palpitations, lightheadedness, a hollow feeling in the stomach (which might be another way of describing what you feel), and vague tingling in particular parts of the body or diffused over the whole body are all common sensations during arousal.
