Is it normal to feel a gushing sensation in your heart?

About 10 times a day for a few minutes each time
I feel this gushing sensation in my heart, it feels like I can feel blood gushing through. It's not palpitations I've had those before. Should I get it checked out??

    Ignore dumbass comment above. Yes please go to the doctor! I can't believe you are asking a bunch of people on the Internet OF COURSE YOU SHOULD GO!!!!!!! You don't need us to tell you that!!! Now get off your damn computer and see a damned doctor. If I could reach through my iPod and slap you on the back of your head I would!!!!!!!!!

    Just spoke to my gp because it was a lot worse this morning. Guess what his response was...I'm not worried, when u feel it next time just ignore it!! U see!! Fobbed off!!

    I've booked in to see my dr on the 7th of April! They always fob me off with stress!!

    I accidentally voted, 'yes' to the IIN when I meant 'yes, see a doctor'. :D

    Most definetely go see a doctor! Go to A&E as well, instead of waiting for an appointement.
