Can I get rabies from touching a dead animals tail. My friend and I found an animals tail. He decided to pick it up with the end of his bb gun. Can I get rabies bc I touched the end of his gun multiple times after .please help

    I believe you can only get it from fluid contact. Highly unlikely unless your friend shot it because it had rabies, and even then pretty unlikely.

    If you are really worried, chain yourself to a tree for three days, so you won't kill your family once your brain expands and you go bat-shat crazy.

    Don't touch dead animals with your skin. You are justified to be wary. But i think you're OK as long if you didn't touch blood or saliva. If you did, go to the MD ASAP,

    Yeah... It takes fluid transfer ro transmit rabies but if you're really worried go see a doctor and set your mind at ease. Rabies isn't the danger it was several decades ago. Just a simple shot and you'll be fine. Not to mention, since you're a living thinking being you'll see and understand the symptoms way before you ever get the point of "losing it". This is not "old yeller"
