Is it normal to fart in a blanket and then smell it?

Whenever I feel a fart coming I go nuts. I immediately run to my bed, cover myself entirely in my blanket, let out my fart, and then I smell all of it to myself! Is this normal?

    When I was younger, I used to take jam jars into the bath, fill them with water then turn them upside to catch... expelled air. When I'd filled one, I'd label it and keep it in the airing cupboard (as if I was making wine and they were of a certain vintage). After a month or so, I'd release the matured product under the unsuspecting nose of a sibling.

    The only reason I'm a nice adult is that I used all my quota of evil during childhood.

    I like to use the crapper as an amplifier. I sit on it and try to be as loud as possible. I shared a small apartment w my brother and he hated when I would supposedly go to take a dump. I would just sit and fart as loud as I could and say "false alarm I didn't have to go."

    Seriously though, bodily functions are bodily functions, and there is no biological reason why you shouldn't respirate your fart, it's only small quantities of methane and it isn't hazardous for your health.
    In fact, if you think that you are weird, some people drink their pee, and it's actually good for their health. (boosted immune system)
    Dogs eat their shit, and we don't give them grief for it. Don't give yourself grief if you like the smell of a fart. It's like cheese, some people like the smell, others despise it. Hope my feedback helped,
