Is it normal to fantasize about being a criminal?

I watch tons of serial killer documentaries. Ted Bundy, Charles Manson, Aileen Wuornos; I've watched just about every (american) serial killer documentary out there.

I want that. I don't want to kill people, but I want to be a criminal. I want to be remembered for something totally outlandish, unacceptable, and despicable. I want some people to hate me and some to love me. I don't want to further the human race, I want to put a dent in it as a reminder of how fucked up we really can become.

Is that normal?

    That won't be a dent in humankind, it will pass in time.

    Not many (younger) people know the name Mark David Chapman.
    But this guy thought the same as you. I mean he was seriously famous. Not anymore though, even though what he did was one of the most extreme things you could ever IMAGINE.

    Mark David Chapman killed John Lennon.
    Lennon was known as one of the most peaceful human that ever lived. He was admired for trying to change the world to give peace a chance.
    Oh and he was in the Beetles. Probably the No.1 band of all time, could be number 2 now, not sure.

    I would never want to be a serial killer, how about a bank robber like Dillinger? That would be frieking cool! Or a mobster like Al Capone!

    You will never be the biggest cause of death, Goverments will always hold that record.

    The best criminals don't draw attention to themselves. If you think people like Ted Bundy have been responsible for the most deaths, etc, then you would be suprised if everything in the world was shown.

    Being a "criminal" is quite fun though.

    It comforts me to know that if i do ever feel the necessity of killing someone i know exactly how to get away with it. But why kill someone innocent? Maybe try being a vigilante, way better for the community.

    Thats quite creepy my friend, you speak in a dangerous yet self justified tone.

    Thats how i believe Bundy felt in the end. He fucked up his political ties, failed law school, came to that exact conclusion you just stated. He got the recognition he craved in the end by simply being a monster.
