I know perfectly well that anime/manga characters are not real, and I've accepted this fact; I am positive that it is not an obsession. Still, I feel that I really care about a certain character. Is it normal?

    Yes, to a certain extent. As long as you don't start making out and dribble on pages of manga then you're fine.

    I felt the same about a lot of anime characters when I was younger. As long as it's not an obsession that interferes with your life I think you're fine.
