Is it normal to fall for your best friend?

It's so hard to tell with these types of things.
I'd have to say that if you've both talked about it and agree to not dating then don't do it.
However, if your friendship were TRULY strong, you would be able to tell him that you really like him without it being awkward. Also, if your friendship were truly strong, you would be able to date, break up, and still be friends.
It is quite normal to fall for your best friend of the opposite sex- actually, that's how love is supposed to happen because you both already have a common ground. Talk to him about it. If he doesn't want to date, then you'll have to get over it.

I've been there... twice. I know it's temping to get into a relationship with him, but you'll end up regretting it one way or another unless you guys stay together for the rest of your lives (which, lets face it, isnt likely).

Most of my best friends have been girls, and I've fallen for them all at some point or another. I try to hide it until I know for sure whether or not they feel the same way, and if they don't I just ignore the feelings. I'd rather stay best friends then lose them because they don't feel the same way about me.

Honey,if you want then do it. and if you feel like you will NEVER loose him,tell him how you feel.
But,I will say this.....if you two ever fight / break up during a relationship..
Ask yourself!... "Will it be the same?or will it feel the same way?"

i went for my best friend/crush and we're dating now becuz we have mutual feelings for 1 another but we're kinda arguing over the same thing. hopefully things work out and if the same is happening to any1 else try to get an understanding of the whole situation 1st

Haha wow the difference for this case for me is the other way around. I have fallen for my best friend too but I suggest that you never tell it AT ALL. Trust me, you'll blow it.

well it reallie depends on how much trust you have in your friendship < but me and my bestfriend talked about this and he said thngs would be the same and if we broke up he would still be cool with me . you really should have a convasation with him ,, but me and my bestfriend talk about dating each other all the time like one time he told he had dream bout me and him dating and we had sex but before that we flired alot so we worked up to that ponit lol smh but you just have to trust ur friendship and tell him that wanna b more than friends by lyk flirting and he'll flirt back if he feels the same way

To be completely honest, I'm currently liking my bestfriend. I have no good advice but to follow your heart because in the future you will only regret the chances you didn't take.

Do it, the foundations of a healthy relationship are lust and friendship. Just get all pretty for a few weeks and keep treating him like a friend and it will happen. The Friend Zone is the best place to work from no matter what anyone says. You already know it will work cause you were friends before so just don't change anything except for sexually. You don't have to be anyone your not and you for sure shouldn't change the way you act if you two are working as friends.

I've dated a bestfriend before, and when him and I broke up we never talked after it. I mean it is completely normal, but not worth it to start dating. I ended up being really sad because him, and I were so close :/

Well there must be a reason as to why you like him...maybe you guys have gotten to know each other a lot and feel that you just connect with him. That's totally normal. But of he doesn't agree to daring, then maybe you should just drop it or ask him if the reason that he doesn't want to go out with you is because he isn't ready yet, then maybe you should just wait for him.

me and him are "cuddle buddies" we kiss now too. Im really just happy with that!

I would stay as friends for now, and take it as it comes. Honestly, if you remain friends and come to that conclusion naturally, it will still feel enriching. However, if you cannot contain your feelings, I would honestly suggest talking to him. Get to the bottom of it, and definitely go behind the scenes. Sometimes it's worth expressing yourself if you can't live with yourself otherwise. Repression, rage and regret are the silent killers. Be still with yourself and feel what is right, and go with your gut.
