Is it normal to fall for someone i only met once, but still talk to?

In 2009, I went 2 PYIC (presidential youth inaugural conference). There, I met this wonderful girl, who i only talked to for about 2 hours, but i still talk to her today. We flirt all the time. We even plan to meet over the summer. Shes never met a guy that wasnt intimidated by her intelligence, and ive never met a beautiful girl that was interested in me. It seems so perfect, but I know that so many things can go wrong. Plus, I live in OH and she lives in SC. Can someone give me some advice? This is driving me insane!

    I wouldn't say you have fallen for her, I'd say it's more along the lines of infatuation.

    You are over thinking it. It's as normal as the birds and the bees. Figure out how to get more face time with her or you will always regret it.

    Of course it's normal. I met my husband and fell in love right there and then. We've been together now 13 years, and it was love at first sight for us both. I think sometimes you just meet that one person that you truly connect with and then, that's it, you're sold. Problems like living far away from each other do make it difficult, but they're not unsolvable. Love will find a way, so just take the next step and don't be afraid of what can go wrong. Sometimes it doesn't work out, your heart breaks, then heals and you move on. It's a natural part of life and a learning curve you must go through until you meet the person you will settle down with. The less you allow yourself to fear things that you have no power over, or that haven't happened yet, the more you will enjoy the encounter and what may possibly come out of it. If you love one another you will find a way to make it work and be together. Just take the next step and try it out, nothing ventured nothing gained.
