Is it normal to faint in the shower while pregnant

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I was taking a shower with my man and all the sudden I got super dizzy and nauseous... I leaned up against the shower wall to try and become less dizzy.. But then I started to lose my vision(which because black and fuzzy)... Then my hearing went in and out... And I could barely stand... My hubby knew something was up and was talking to me trying to get me to look at him and stuff but I couldn't because I was dizzy and couldn't see and barely hear anything... The first thing I did was got out of the shower and tried to get some fresh air... And Then it got better... When he came up after me and asked if I was okay... When I assured him I was he continued to tell me that when that happened my face became totally white and my pupils were really dilated.... Is this normal to happen during pregnancy?

Orthostatic intolerance is fairly common in pregnancy, if I understand correctly. You should talk to your doctor, though.

It still amazes me that people with genuine medical problems use IIN as a way of trying to solve them. As if they think that this website is full of doctors and not teenagers. GO SEE A DOCTOR! Jesus.

I've had four pregnancies and while you may feel very dizzy and short of breath after the third trimester, early pregnancy dizziness is usually caused by the hormones whizzing around your body, the same hormones that cause morning sickness. You may have had shower too hot, or you may have become claustrophobic, if it was a one off I wouldn't be too concerned, but if you actually faint, or this continues, then see your midwife. Best wishes for your pregnancy.

Just about everything can be considered a pregnancy symptom. But fainting is one that warrants a conversation with your health care provider. Feeling faint could have been caused by heat or any number of things and is very normal. But actually fainting shouldn't be ignored as it isn't common.
