I got a flue vaccine today at Walgreen s, and I guess I was over anticipating it, and when I got the shot, I was fine. But afterwards my ears started ringing really loudly, and I felt really sick. I woke up, and apparently I had passed out. It's really weird because this is the first time I've passed out from a shot. Is this normal?
it was probably an allergic reaction. if you still feel unsteady, maybe you should chat with a doctor.
Doesn't sound like an allergic reaction by the symptoms. If it's just a once off then I wouldn't worry about it.
That is not normal. Though generally flu vaccines will give you the flu I have never heard of people fainting from it. If you fainted from stress yeah that is you not the shot. If the injection is what made you faint I would consult a doctor.
So go see the doctor and tell them what happened. I would be really concerned if a shot made me pass out. That does not sound normal at all. Also to anyone who tries to argue you the point I have known many who have gotten the shot and I have gotten the shot and got the flu.
This is something you will not be told when looking up the list of side effects. I do not understand why no one lists you might get the flu but it never does. I do not think it is fair that they are allowed to pick and choose what side effects they list.
It sounds like you just fainted because you were upset/anxious/freaked out. That is not what an allergic rxn looks like.
