Is it normal to experience this during the night?

Last night, I went to sleep like I usually do; no problems getting to sleep. At about 3 am, I woke up. But, there was the weirdest buzzing noise, and I felt as if my whole body was vibrating. I couldn't move at all, and felt as if I was being held down.

I just kept trying to move, but eventually just relaxed and it went away.

Obviously, this isn't normal. What I'm wondering is if any of you might have experienced a similar thing?

maybe you just forgot your vibrator inside and fell asleep :)

The proper name is sleep paralysis or you were astral projecting(its what they do in insidious). Sleep paralysis is actually believed to be a spirit holding you down or laying on top of you.

I had the same shit at 3:01... I was scared shitless, I heard light wet footsteps beside me. Then three deep breathes and I could move. I had another time at 3:00 when I was sleeping in my basement with my friend somewhere near Christmas, and i woke up and there was a guy about 6 foot 1 standing by our basement Christmas tree. The scary part was he was just staring at me, and when I blinked he was gone.

You're starting to have an out of body experience. a.k.a.. Astral projection. Do some research online or at the library. It can be controlled. It feels like you're dying huh...good luck.

  • It's a time some people use to try astral projection. You have to raise your vibration.

Last time it happened to me I almost got raped by an imaginary shadow person. :P Usually I just can't move but that time I left my door open and there was dim light shining from the living room. It was blurry. I heard the door creak open and I saw a shadow come in and it got on the bed with me and tried to open my legs. Hahaha. XD but it was scary. (thanks again charli :D)

Yeah that's what everyone says. But I've always liked the feeling of being scared and I'm curious.

I've had weird experiences like that. When I was younger up to the age about 18, I'd get this weird thing where I'd be wide awake, and suddenly I'd hear voices and see weird things, and it was like I was stuck. I couldn't move my body, but I could talk. It was so weird. I used to get it so often, but whenever I told my parents they always brushed it off or just laughed at me, but I was being serious. I ended up speaking to a psychic about it when I was much older. She told me that I was hypersensitive and intact by my spirit, that they were coming through to me or some weird shit like that. My parents never believed in that stuff and called it bologna, so they'd never believe me. Now, if it wasn't that, I think another possibility could be schizophrenia.
