Is it normal to enjoy watching this kind of stuff?

I like watching war stuff. Not documentaries or movies, actual film. I remember watching some World War Ⅱ (Notify me if that looks like a block) stuff in school and seeing what was done to people and places. I was sickly intrigued by it and yearned to see more. The feeling remains. This doesn't mean I watch it daily or anything, just that I still find it fascinating. Not funny. Not weird. Interesting.

The only exception to this interest is seeing some of the Nanjing Massacre stuff. That tears me up since I am interested in various cultures, including Japanese AND Chinese. There's some more reasons but to be respectful, I'll leave them out.

Sorry if this doesn't belong in miscellany, I wasn't sure D:

its out of the ordinary, its witnessing the true lows of human nature. thats why i find the holocaust, and other various inhumane events that really interst me. they are so intriguins, as to the mentality of the situation, and why the situation happened in the first place, and what happened.

    • YESSSSS. That's what I'm talking about.

Another thing I wonder is how... how someone could acquire such sadistic behavior. I could never harm someone in the ways I've seen soldiers attack civilians.

I like documentaries. But actual footage with bullets, bombs, dying people and so on is a no-no for me.
