Is it normal to enjoy shooting animals on games

And assaulting women and raping them in games? Is that acceptable, too, because they "aren't real" and it's "just a game" so it's "alright?"

The problem with harming animals/women/whatever in a game is that 1) there are people who can't separate a game from reality and will harm or kill another being and 2) it does de-sensitize people to the suffering of others.

Why is it that harming and killing - even in a (so-called) game supposedly "fun?" Are people secretly bloodthirsty and so this is a way to vent it? Aren't we supposed to be a more "evolved" species and above harming others for entertainment and amusement, even if symbolically?

The point is that humans are always creating some to shit on, and these games? Well, they just mirror real life and real society, unfortunately. These games aren't always what they seem to be.

I did that too when I had red dead. It frelt rewarding whenever I got a rare animal pelt. Too bad red dead redemption sucks

I don't understand video games that kill people, so this doesn't seem normal to me either.

I'd never kill an animal in real life, but I also have nothing against hunting. I have played those hunting games at the arcades and things. Which are fun, I guess as long as you're not getting some kind of weird pleasure out of it, it's okay :-) Never actually played Red Dead Redemption though :-P
