Is it normal to encounter so many coincidences in just a few weeks?

I've had far too many coincidences to do with keys and locks over the past 3 weeks. I don't much believe in the supernatural but I'm beginning to wonder what's going to happen next.

My friend lent me her car while she was overseas and after the first couple of days the central locking key worked only erratically, then the car wouldn't start except with jumper leads from another car. A mechanic told me the remote was also an immobiliser and that its battery was flat, but the car didn't start with the spare immobiliser either. My friend came back and the car started first time with no problem.

A few days later I dropped my spare front door key in my car and it totally vanished and still hasn't been found. I went to the local hardware shop and had another one cut but the new key wouldn't lock or unlock the front door.

I went to a specialist key cutting place and had two new spare keys cut and neither of them work either.

My daughter texted me to say her boarder had moved out and hadn't returned his keys so she'd had a new lock installed on her front door, which means the keys I had to her place are no use now.

My front security door hinges were loose so I tightened them up and now sometimes the original key and the 2 new spares work and sometimes they don't.

This is driving me crazy!
