Is it normal to emotionally detach during sex?

I suffered from a trauma about a year ago and since then I have found that I'm emotionally uninvolved during sex. I'll have sex and sometimes initiate it because I feel like it's what the guy wants.

Why would you have sex just to please a man?

I'm sorry for your trauma but you really need to get that sorted out before you allow men to use you any further.

There's a joke that says, women are sitting on a fortune and if you think so little of yourself and sex, then you may as well charge for it. With no emotional attachment this is close to prostitution.

Do what you want to do!! Not what someone else wants you to do for their own gratification.

You should only have sex because:
    1. YOU want it.
    2. You like the other person.
    3. It feels good.
    4. You want a baby.

Never have sex with anyone because they want you to, or you think they want it.

    Real simple, isn't?

I'm sorry to hear about your trauma.
I think that it is perfectly normal in your situation. If you want to change you may need to go to a professional for help.
