Is it normal to eat with your spoon/fork closed fisted in your hand?

Whenever I see someone eating in this manner I get a little repulsed. In my opinion it looks a little primitive, unrefined, all function no form. I see this occasionally, not terribly common. Is it more prominent in other countries(where they dont use their hands or chopsticks)? I know it's trivial but it kinda bugs me

Most people do it as kids. I guess some just never grow out of it. My brother still chews loud as fuck with his mouth open all the time. I gave up on asking him to stop.

I went on one date with a guy who ate like this; he also would hold his elbow in the air..... one date......
I couldnt picture having him at a table with someone beside him without them getting a head injury - the law suite was something I could simply not risk

Some people with dyspraxia and dyslexia can't hold a knife and fork and have to hold it with a fist

  • Seriously? You need something to occupy your time if "fork holding" techniques vex your soul.
