That can give you cancer really quick. Styrofoam should never be heated.
That is very dangerous! You risk developing cancer. See a doctor and stop cooking your food in styrofoam containers.
This made me laugh. Your probably really lazy and hungry or fat. Or lazy, hungry and fat.
If you guys understood what cancer is, youd know you can't get it or greaten you chances of getting it by eating stuff.
It's all lies. The only thing other than nature that can cause it is UV light and rays.
Poster: you're microwaving for WAY too long if it's melting. There's no need. Also, there are chances of chemical leakage from the foam, it wont kill you, but could make you very I'll. Be careful.
Actually that's a bit mistaken.
Yes, most times cancer is either from what you ingest - i.e. smoking, consuming too many carcinogens*.
However you can also have cancers caused from other forms of exposure, such as living in a toxic environment, or from certain STDs. (HPV mainly).
As for cancer from styrofoam, or other things you eat... the problem is people get a knee-jerk reaction of "OMG I just ate this. I have the cancer!" and that's just plain wrong.
The amount you need to consume of such substances is higher than what you would actually consume. Scientists have said this for years but no one really listens.
That's why smokers for example have to smoke for YEARS before they actually develop cancer. One or two doses won't kill you. It takes years of repeated exposure.
It's a carcinogen, but so is pretty much everything...
I actually kinda like the taste of melted styrofoam when mixed with food. Especially pastas.
