Is it normal to eat out for every meal?

I eat out for all 3 meals a day. I know its not healthy and its not financially sound. I spend $20 or a little more a day eating for breakfast lunch and dinner.

I really dont like cooking. I have even spent hundreds of dollars on cooking equipment and utensils, spices and the likes. I still spend $100 a week on food but it all just goes bad. The only exception is bottled water, juice, soda, etc.

I am at work 11 hrs a day and i just find waiting to get home for dinner and preparing my lunch horribly time consuming and boring. I am a young professional with no kids so i should have some time, not alot, but enough.

I have been partaking in this habit for 4yrs now and am looking for a change but not sure where to even start. Please let me know your thoughts.

Buy a microwave, a blender, and a can opener and then no food will be a problem

No, why do you think america is so unhealthy?

Go to the store and buy organic food and look up easy recipes, then the more comfortable you get the more things you can try making. Grow a garden, if you don't want to spend money on groceries. Then, again the money you spend on fast food adds up so, you would probably save going to the store or gardening. If you don't want to try to make your own food, then buy frozen meals. Make sure it's low in calories. Some of the highest calories at the store is in the freezer section. Some organic meals are high in calories too. So, make sure to read ALL LABELS!!!!

You should also see a dietician and exercise. Good luck!

Is your body showing signs of unhealthiness? Are you overweight or do you have difficulty doing physical activities? If not, you're probably doing okay nutrition-wise.

If so, you can try some very easy things at home. Try eating breakfast a home--it requires very little actual cooking:
--put a bagel in the toaster and put on light cream cheese
    --toast with peanut butter
    --banana, apple
    --bowlful of yogurt

If you're eating breakfast out because you're also short on time, remember that these things can be eaten on the go: banana, granola bar.

think of all the money and health you would be saving yourself if you eat in once in a while.

It's normal in that a lot of people do it, but it is expensive and very unhealthy. Once you become a good cook, you can make food exactly as you like it best, when you want it. Being able to shop for the best ingredients and bring them together into something delicious is very enjoyable. Doing the dishes...not as much, though I don't mind. You however work too much to be able to really invest the time and energy into cooking and still have time to relax and enjoy the meal. Depending upon how much you earn it may be cost effective to continue eating out. Just keep in mind that you have no control over your portions or nutrition if you let someone else do the cooking.

Maybe you should try cooking alot on one day, like Sunday and freezing everything in single serving containers to heat up for lunch and dinner.
