Is it normal to eat nails when biting them?

I do it when I bite my fingernails.
I chew it like cereal and then I swallow it. I've been doing it as long as I can remember and thought it wasn't important because people bite their nails on t.v. all the time but they spit it out.

    Try them with a nice dipping sauce. Perhaps Ranch?

    IIN? yes im sure a lot of people do it, Is it dangerous? You ccan collect some quite nasty microbes underneath your nails which you are then eating.

      In my opinion, those microbes can do the same thing for your immune system that picking and noshing on your snot does....
