Is it normal to eat like this?

So up until about 2 months ago, I ate relatively healthy, but I did eat more sugar and carbs than the average person. I maintained my weight by doing dance, and I've always been a pretty healthy/skinny/thin girl that never really cared about what I ate, when I ate it or whatever.

Recently, I noticed that I gained around 10 pounds over the summer. Ever since, I have been attempting to count calories and reduce the amount of carbs/sugar/food in general that I eat everyday... Which is really not working for me at all.

Almost everyday, I binge on sugary things. (carbs, candy, cookies, cake, ice cream) What happens is I eat a piece of fruit in the morning, at lunch I have something small, less than 200 calories, then once I get home from school, at about 4pm I go crazy. In about 10-20 minutes I can consume up to 700 calories of junk food. Sometimes more. Sometimes I will refuse to eat dinner afterwards because I just feel so guilty and disgusting.

I'm not sure if I have binge eating disorder, but I've looked up symptoms and they basically describe me. I ALWAYS feel extremely guilty after a binge, and I consume a lot of things in a very short period of time, and it's uncontrollable. I also eat everything very fast, so I can't even enjoy or taste what I'm eating. It almost always happens when I'm not even hungry.

Eat on a more frequent basis during the day; mix it up with raw fruit/veg, boiled eggs for protein or protein bars etc every 2-3 hrs. It's healthier for you and gives your body energy stores to burn so that you dont come home and binge. Believe me, do this for a week and your body will stop storing all that excess sugar you are consuming and you will start to work it off again. Give yourself the week though to get used to eating on a more frequent basis.

    breakfast: Oatmeal with fruit
Snack(before lunch): almonds, trail mix, something like that.
lunch: tuna sandwich, caesar salad, something healthy that will keep you full.
I used to eat like that when i got home frm school. It's because I wudn't eat lunch. I developed bad eating habits. But it does help to snack in between meals so you don't binge on food. Also drink lots of water

I say stop dieting, and pay attention to when you are full... and the weight will come off naturally (whether or not you exercise, but exercise helps).

Dieting is bad, don't go down that route because that will lead to obsessive behavior/feelings.
