This sounds like Lord of the Rings hobbit mentality to me. I'm totally on board.
I'm on track to medical school right now, so I think about what I eat. If it's not yummy, it doesn't get in my tummy. If it's not healthy, it's probably not yummy. I think that eating food that is not only good for your body, but tastes and feels good, is important. Yummy food makes your brain happy - stupid as that sounds, it's true. Why eat something healthy if it tastes like crap? (Like cauliflower. Or fish. *shudders*)
I eat what sounds good when I feel hungry, stop when I'm full, and mostly cook for myself. I don't worry about calories, or count my vitamins and minerals and measure my proteins and carbs (although I did have to do all of that, several times, for my coursework). I trust that body knows best and, since I've been taking this approach (for about a year), my weight has held steady and my mental health has improved.
As long as you're not eating yourself out of rent money or gaining weight like crazy, I say you're probably just fine.
when i say good, i mean high in protein, carbohydrates, amino acids, and saturated fat. those are the things i find to be good in food and in drink.
Yeah, I think you need to define what you consider to be "good" food, then people should know what you are on about.
when you say good, do you mean yummy or healthy?
if you mean healthy, then it's only in your best interest to eat and drink them. though, healthy doesn't mean costly, so
if you mean yummy, but you are finding that you are spending all your free money of that, then maybe you should think of cutting back just a bit. you can be your own compass, if it feels like you are spending too much, then you probably are.
