Is it normal to eat food in the store?

I've always done this and it has never gotten me in trouble. When I am shopping I will eat as I shop. When I'm done I will either put the wrapper/bottle/box... onto a shelf or sometimes I will even bring it to the counter and pay for it. Whenever I have been caught I just tell them I'm going to pay for it when I leave which I do if they catch me. I never do it with something I can't afford in case I am being watched. Doing this has saved me a lot of money and also allows me to try before I buy.

If you pay for it when you leave that is fine. If you don't that is theft.

Well when you pay it's okay and when you don't it's not... pretty simple concept.

So if you ate a bunch of grapes do they weigh you and compare it to the weight on your driver's license and charge you the difference per pound?

Normal if you pay for it, theft if you don't.

Yeah, I've heard of Mexicans who go to Walmart, take a bunch of doughnuts and eat them up while they walk around the store. I imitated that and it worked, for a while at least.

I did it in a restaurant once. It was amazing. They had all this food written down on a card and whatever I read off the card, they made it for me and I ate it. I had to pay for it all at the end but still, it was a real experience.

It certainly did. I thought it was free when I was eating it. At the end when I realised I had to pay for it, I'd stopped tasting it so I didn't mind so much any more.

Pay for it when your at the till and it is okay, many people do that, but if your one of them annoying oh I'll open this packet of grapes because I want one and then leave them somewhere when your done, stop because that really gets on my nerves and also other peoples especially if we could have had said grapes! Just don't theive from stores because by putting it back because it can get you into a lot of trouble, especially if your caught multiple times! I have drank a drink in store but I paid afterwards! Eat by all means in the store just make sure you pay, unless you was to go to prison!

Like mentioned before, if you don't pay for it, it's theft whether you get caught or not. Even if you do (have the intention to) pay for it, it's not yours yet and shouldn't be consumed before being bought.
I highly recommend eating before you go to the shops which hopefully stops the craving.

    • I obviously do not give a shit if the store loses money. Companies are corrupt anyways so I hope they lose business. There is no logical reason I shouldn't do what I can get away with.

It's perfectly normal unless you don't pay, which apparently you don't always. Seriously stop stealing or someone in a uniform with a squad car is going to stop you.

If you don't pay, you're a thief, and even if you do, it's a sickening habit. I used to give the kids a cookie to munch on, cause they couldn't wait, so grow up.

    • If you think that's a sickening habit you would hate most the other stuff I do. I think trying to be pc about things that don't matter is a sickening habit.
