Is it normal to eat eggs with ketchup?

I went to sleep over one of my best friend's house and the next morning her mom made us some scramble eggs. As a kid I refused to eat to eat eggs plain. I HAD to mix ketchup with them. But as I did, my friend " That's so weird!! Why would you put ketchup on you eggs??!"

I sat dumbfounded for probably a minute or two straight. My whole family ate their eggs like that. I always ate my eggs like that.

So I come down to my conclusion. is it normal to eat eggs with ketchup??!

    It's pointless to NOT eat eggs with ketchup. Or fried potatoes. I go to town on ketchup with breakfast food.

    Canadians do it... I hate eggs, and dislike ketchup, but if I have to eat eggs, I need ketchup. I had plain scrambled today (to not hurt fiance's feelings!), and have felt like puking since!

    Oh, ketchup is good on egg mcmuffins too!

    Every breakfast joint has ketchup for eggs and hash browns. Check out ihop ,Denny's or any place. I add hot sauce to mine to spice it up. People may think its weird but I don't care.

    I love to eat scrambled eggs mixed with baked beans. It's delicious. Don't knock it until you try it.

    I think it's regional (in the U.S.) In the south I've seen lots of people use ketchup on eggs. Southwest salsa and sauces. In Louisiana I've seen people cover eggs in tabasco. In northern U.S. it's less common.

    Potato waffle, melted cheese, fried egg, ketchup (or chilli sauce). I eat it very rarely but it's one of those few things that makes me forget I don't eat meat.

    Yes, I do it and I've had people say that it's weird too. In fact more people I know had never heard of it than have heard of it and I had always just thought everyone did it!!

    It use to be the ONLY way I would eat eggs when I was a kid, but I grew out of it and can't stand the idea of it (Gag me with a spoon!).

    My husband still loves it though. I got him a red t-shirt that says: "Celebrate Life With Ketchup."
