Is it normal to eat a fish discarded by an albatross?

Today whilst swimming in the sea I saw that an albatross had caught a fish. It was trying to fly off with it but it appeared that the fish was too heavy so eventually the bird abandoned it and flew away. I swam over and retrieved the fish. Upon seeing that it was a decent size, I took it home, threw it on the barbie (barbecue, for you non-Aussies) and ate it. Is this normal?

It wasn't too big to carry, the big fella decided the fish had Ciguatera. How's the food poisoning going?

If the fish was too big for the albatross, and was one that actually seemed edible (ie not a puffer-fish, etc) then that's a stroke of good luck for you. A fresh caught fish hauled in by a bird, which then flew away- a lot better than buying expensive supermarket fish, if you don't mind cleaning it yourself!

Why wouldn't you? After all, so many people say, "We are just animals" so why not?

That albatross did you a favour. Perhaps you could train a whole flock of them to do your fishing? Not only that but they could deliver the fish to your back yard after sufficient training time.

    Why would you?
You could've fished for one or gone to the store, less of a hassle. Nice title, btw:)
Is this normal? No not really.

It isn't normal in the U.S.A. but other animals do it. I think it's fine, you did cook it.
