Not good, but I think its normal, I used to drink nyquil everynight for a while, but I got tired of waking up with a hangover. I still have problems sleeping, but read a book expercise, or masterbating will put you to sleep
Yeah it is bad for your health but It's fairly common. I used to do the same thing until i started waking up early and working all day.
Thanks guys, any suggestion on how to make myself sleep other than drugs??
You are not supposed to get into bed until you are tired and know that you can fall asleep. When I'm really jittery I usually go workout. If I just can't fall asleep then I'll read a book. Sometimes I will read a chemistry textbook or something if I REALLY wanted to fall asleep lol.
You should really try to stop that habit.
I'm taking psych/socio in scool, and we're talking about addictive drugs and how that relates to your cognitive functions. Once you start taking those sedatives continuously, your body will develop a physical addiction to it, and you'll start to be dependent on that drug. I suggest you try other methods of getting to sleep. It'd be terrible for your health if you were to become addicted.
I only do this when I'm not tired and I have something important to do next morning. Should not be a normal occurrence though. Any dependency on a substance is a bad thing.
Why sure, you're so traumatized by your daily existence you cant close your eyes in the face of reality out of the fear that when you open them again, it will be time to attend a job you hate with a boss you hate and you are forced to absorb all outside of work human enjoyment through interaction with friends and a lover you had to settle with.
You may have a sleeping disorder. If you need assistance falling asleep, like I do, see a doctor for safe alternatives. You might even benefit from a night at a sleep lab.
I do the same thing but I take benedryl every night. I hve a habit it's probably not so good
