Is it normal to drink till you pass out almost every night?

My boyfriend usually can't stop drinking till he is about .25 BAC and passing out. Is this normal?

It's normal if he's at the Jersey Shore.

No, not normal. Not healthy. Self-hedonistic destructive behavior indicative of mental disease.

Do him a favor by writing on him with sharpies every time he does it. When he wakes up with a huge penis drawn on his face and has to spend hours scrubbing it off, it is an after affect he will feel ill of... And hopefully, with automation he will stop.

Be carefull sounds like he is becomming an alcoholic. Take it from me I am an alcoholic been dry since 1987 but I will always be an alcoholic even though I dont drink any more and one thing your boyfriend cant go through is DTs. Believe me it is a living hell drying out that way I did and I would have commited murder to get my hands on a drink the pain was so bad but he has to reach a point where he has to do it for him self and no one else or quiting wont work it is a terrible disease that effects the liver, it gets in the bone marrow destroys kidneys and dryout does so much preasure on the heart that most alcoholics can only withstand 2 dry outs at the most the third usualy causes a heart attack. For you maybe the best thing is to break it off and see if he gets straight you cant live your life around a drunk what ever you decide I wish you luck and God bless

He needs help. This is not only destructive behavior, it's deadly. I further recommend you separate yourself from him.

no, I've used a couple of different online bac calculators. one had a setting to take into account what type of drinker a person is (eg. light, social, heavy...)
