im drinking coffee through a straw rite now....if u do it right u wont fuck ur teeth up
Coffee destroys tooth enamel. So, by using a straw you would be protecting your teeth. Just a word of caution: if the coffee is hot wait awhile before sticking your straw in it. The heat can melt the plastic, which isn't healthy. Or, you can order reusable metal straws.
I think it's fine, but make sure you find a straw of good quality or the heat might melt the plastic.
I drink coffee through a straw. I put the lid on my Starbucks cups and put the straw through the hole where your supposed to sip from and I'm set.
good idea but it prolly ruins drinking coffee to start with. straws are for cold/room temp drinks only. imo
As long as it's not very hot coffee (unless you have a high quality straw that is not going to melt / leech plastic into your drink). Warm coffee is fine. I think it's normal to want not to stain your teeth. There is lots of pressure in "our culture" to have white teeth.
If you drink like a cold Starbucks or whatever then yeah normal. Hot coffee through a star would be really weird and dumb. To me anyways... :/
pros-
no stains or enamel wear
easier
easier not to burn your throat
cons-
straws r not good for teeth
This is good. It's keeps stains from appearing. Actually, you should drink everything through a straw to cut down on enamal errosion. So, it's normal.
I drink coffee through a straw sometimes, too. So if you're not normal, then I guess I'm not, haha!
