Is it normal to dress like a man?

I have thought this out long and hard. I just love the aesthetics of certain mens outfit ensambles. (Ie short sleeved button up shirt with men length shorts. I think springtime busness casual). My hair is curly and really short, and I can pull off a lot of those looks but I HATE when people get all judgy and question if Im a lesbian or trans or whatever else there could be. It just destroys my confidence. I dont want the attention on me, positive or negative. I dont really know what I am, and right now I’m ok with that.

You do you, there's always going to be someone out there judging you no matter what you do. It'll be really tiring if you think about it so much.

    • Its hard to have that kind of attitude with parents that are “I support lgbtq, until It’s my kid”

Wheather they support it or not, their words and actions will be very forced and that shit stresses me out! :c

Just wear whatever you want. If people give you shit for it then they are dickheads. (A couple of exceptions would be stuff like wearing a t-shirt that says "I hate niggas" or "i rape babies". You're on your own if you go down that road)

i get you, i like androgyny but people try to make it a sexuality thing when it's pretty much the opposite.

You can't deny the fact androgynous people have an alluring appearance. For many, they look sexually attractive.

Oh sure but I meant like, some people will assume it means you're gay or trans, but its really just not being any gender at all. and if you're into that, technically not gay or straight, i dont think 100% gay or 100% straight people like one of their preferred sex to present with traits of the opposite

I love androgyny too. Now you have me thinking that I wish David Bowie were still alive!

  • Picking the right outfit means wearing clothes that you feel are comfortable and don't mind being seen in. A lot of the time you can play stupid like you don't even know you're wearing masculine clothes. Nice people will probably help change the subject, decent people probably won't even ask.

Look it's no diffrent than a guy wearing skinny jeans and talking with a lisp, people will think he's gay as fuck. How you dress and act affects people's opinions of you. It's something ypull have to cone to terms with if you want to dress the way you want to dress. For example I freaking adore dresses that show off my legs, however they look slutty as fuck on me. It's a little uncomfertable yes but I'm coming to terms with it and just accepting that that is sonething I got to deal with

Mens clothes are so comfortable and they have pockets so I don't blame you

I'm a girl, and I love dressing in "guy" clothes. It gives me confidence and makes me feel good, but if others disagree that's ok. It's annoying when others judge, but in the end I don't care. It's not up to other people to decide what you can or cannot wear, because at the end if the day it's just a piece of clothing.
And girls wearing manly clothes isn't even that unusual tbh. There are probably just as many people, if not more, who don't care what you wear than the people who do.
    We just don't notice them.
