I love my father more than anything/anyone in the world(besides my mom, I'm just a Daddy's girl) but a few times i've had dreams where he dies. I wake up crying and can't sleep the rest of the night. Is this normal? Or am I a horrible daughter?
When I was a little girl I had dreams that my father was killed. I think it was out of fear. Now that he is dead sometimes I have dreams he's still alive.
You sound a very sweet and loving little girl and your dad and mum are lucky to have you as their daughter.
Lots of people dream about their death and accidents and injury but these things never happen as in the dreams. This means that you can stop worrying about your dream as it was just that, a dream.
We cannot control our dreams and yet we may be able to influence the way we dream. Try getting hold of a book entitled "Dreamlife" understanding and using your dreams. I have not read this book but I expect you can get it on Amazon or through a book shop. It's published by Element Books and the author was personally known to me (he died about a month ago)his name is David Fontana. The ISBN No. is 1-85230-163 -5.and the publishers are Element Books. It is an easy read and is only 150 pages long. You may be able to get it from your local library. He is the author of over forty books on psychological subjects and understanding ourselves and is a well known but down to earth academic. The introduction on the back cover sums it up. It was first published in 1990 and cost £7.99 but I am sure it is obtainable for less than this if you search around.

Anyway, dreams are just that and are the mind's way of trying to un-clutter our thoughts and confront our fears. If you think about it, when we dream our mind takes off on a flight and ranges over many things most of which we forget before or at the point of waking up. I know that the bible Old Testament refers to dreams that appear to tell the future but that was in the days before Christ and there is no evidence that since then dreams have foretold the future. If they could, the world would not be as we know it because, if the future was known, we could alter it and it would not be the future as foretold !! So dreams do not foretell the future so it's best to treat them as imagination and just take note of them before moving on.

Your not a horrible daughter. I reckon it's because you don't want to lose him, a dream is things you've thought of throughout the day, or even if you haven't thought of it's been in your mind unrevealing. You just don't want to lose your dad. :)

You can't always control what you dream about, they are confusing and disturbing things, dreams... we are often slaves to them.

lol I dream of my grandfather hurting me and he's actually really nice! In my most recent one he was cutting off my fingers at the second knuckle just cause he was PO'd at my grandmother.
That doesn't make u horrible..! Actually it's b/c u love him so much and sometimes without realizing it u r afraid of thinking the world without yr him..
And in my country they say that if you see some1 dead that means that the bad things (bad energy and whatever they call it) will die from yr dad.. it's like some bad things and situations they follow him, they leave :) So it's kinda a good think!
I've had that dream before. You aren't horrible. Look up what it means to help you not feel so guilty.
