Is it normal to dream about somebody watching you in the dark?

I had a terrible nightmare a few weeks ago and one of the worst parts of it is there is a man hiding in my room watching me in the dark. I haven't dreamt the same dream since but its seriously starting to freak me out and it takes me ages to fall asleep because every time I try I imagine someone lurking in my bedroom! I know its silly and there can't possibly be someone there but the dream was so vivid and I can't forget it.

    I get creeped sometimes at night also especially in the complete dark,,;try sleeping with the tv on but keep the volume low that's wut I do

    ^^^ I agree 100% I do the same thing. The tv keeps the spirits away.
