Is it normal to dream about dead realitives

I'm now 28 but my brother died when I was 14. I still dream about him often. Shortly after he died I'd dream about him but he was far away in the distance. Now when I dream about him he's part of the situation; talking to me or just hanging out. I'd rather not dream about him because when I wake up I forget he's gone. I full wake up and realize he's dead and it kills my whole day. Can't I stop dreaming about him?

    They say if u dream of someone who has died that is their way of visiting u. I don't believe he's gone just waiting and watching in spirit.

    take this as a positive. talk to him. hes trying to communicate with you. this is a gift. stop being sefish and welcome this.

    Yes. I was about 7 years old when my cousin was shot in front of my house. Then i used to dream about him guiding me in life. he would tell me to leave. leave the town and never come back. my family did as he said and now im 41 and i have dreams about him telling me to go back to his house.
